   ....at the Milblog Conference, among them, LaShawn Barber, who
   [1]liveblogged the conference. Her coverage is very accurate and
   detailed. Much better than my version. If you really want to know what
   went on at the conference, read LaShawn.
   I also met Steve Schippert of Threatswatch, and had an emotional
   discussion with him, thanking him for his encouragement of my
   blogging. He and CJ are the two men that encouraged me to join the
   Milblog ring and to be proud of my service. I hadn't really thought
   about it until I saw them at the conference, but I never even
   discussed my service with my chidren, except in general terms, until
   recent times. Now I'm proud to tell them what I did.
   Steve and CJ helped me to see that what I did was honorable and,
   despite the awful media assassination we Vietnam era vets have
   endured, we have just as much to be proud of as every other man and
   woman who has served. (They aren't the only ones. Bruce Kesler has
   been very influential, as well as PG [someone you don't know] and my
   new friend, Dan Montrose.) I owe these men a lot, for helping me to
   come out of my shell.
